The prime objective of the trek is to reach the Jancarurish Valley. From there, a short hike takes you to a viewpoint offering tremendous views of Mount Alpamayo – which is considered to be one of the most beautiful mountains on the planet. Other highlights of the trek include the stunning glacial lakes of Cullicocha and Jancarurish, the splendid snow-capped peaks of Santa Cruz (6259m), Quitaraju (6036m), and Jancarurish (5578m), and the unique flora and fauna of the Los Cedros Valley.
The trek lasts for six days. It is of moderate difficulty, with two high passes of 4750m and 4850m. Prior acclimatization is required.
